Can anyone tell me the standard ride height for lc gtr? (maybe from ground to top of wheel arch)
Was gtr height same as sl model?
I bought a new set of king springs in standard height as i wanted to keep the original look but after fitting the rears the arse end looks way too high?! Now im thinking of starting again with the 'lowered' units...(havnt fitted fronts yet)
Any info would be appreciated....

According to the Max Ellery manual the LC & LJ ride height measurements between the top of the bump stop and the chassis are as follows.

Standard 2"
GTR 1"

New springs can take a little time to settle.

From LC Torana advance service information (pre release of the LC Torana).

Exterior Dimensions

Overall Heights - at kerb weight
82311, 82369, 82569 - 53.9 in.
82911 - 54.2 in.

Minimum running ground clearance
82311, 82369, 82569 - 5.8 in.
82911 - 6.1 in.

P.S. The above dimensions are probably going to mean diddlysquat if you are not running the same size tyres as the original factory fitment. To rework the dimensions you will need to know the rolling radius of the original fitment tyres and the rolling radius of your existing tyres and add or subtract the difference from the original dimensions.

Cheers for the info guys. My car is stored in my brothers shed so i will have to go round and see if it looks like they have settled in any, although i spoke to him yesterday and he said it doesnt look like its dropped bugger all since we put them in. (5 days ago)
Anybody have any info on the king springs, should i have bought 'lowered' springs to get standard gtr height? I wanted to retain the original look and not have it look like its dumped on its guts..
Anybody have pics of their car with 'lowered' kings fitted?

Check with Kings or post up the part number of the spring you bought.

According to the Max Ellery book.

Free Height
Std 8.75"
GTR 7.39"

Working Height
Std 6.44 " @ 433 lbs.
GTR 5.66" @ 433 lbs.

The standard height kings i fitted in the rear are KHRS-09 and the standard fronts i havnt fitted yet are KHFS-08. I reckon the rear end looks way too high.
Kings dont list different springs for SL, GTR or XU1 models. Just LC/LJ 6cyl standard or lowered. Thinkin i better start over with the lowered units and hopefully get an exchange. Spewin!!!!

The original diameter of most LC/LJ 13" tyres was between 590 - 610mm.
