looking at a t400 to put behind it does much have to be done to the box to handle this sort of power?
I have a few quotes the cheapest so far is 4k without converter
I think this is a bit much from what I read over the net there is stuff all needed to be done to it for that kind of power
the quote for a full rebuild is $1100 so the extra bit of work totals near 3k???
some one give me advice please I was told be the engine builder I should run at least a 3.5k hi stall cost I should be paying for that?
thanks n advance benno

l have a Turbo 400 behind a blown small block making 642 hp at 6000 and 580 lbs torque, cost $2,500 earlier this year. Its ment to handle 1000hp and has a heavy duty case, Stage 3 shift kit, manual control 1st gear, 34 element HD sprag clutch, Raybestos green race clutch plates, Raybestos wide kevlar band 6 clutch pack in 2nd and 3rd, steel clutch support plate, supalock circlip and B&M alloy pan. Most of this means nothing to me and all l really know is that l haven't broken it yet.
So where did you get it from ?
