I thought i would post a video of it starting but the quality after compressing isn't so good. It is all running and tuned. Have sun visors to install and a few pipes to tidy up, few adjustments with the doors and it's ready for rego. I have left the shitty centerlines on it for the time being until funds are available.

Yeah, it took me a while to get my sun visers not cheap either. looking great, look even better with rego, mate you must be busting to drive it. As for the centerlines i've allways though that the only centerlines to have are the real ones. Best of luck.

regards

Been along time since i have updated due to work and other things. I have had to put the project on hold for a while due to them but back into it now. Made some custom brakets as i have fitted an oil cooler and thermo fan for just incase on them warm days. Here are some updates.

Had to change the extractors/headers due to clearance issues with cross member and they sat down to low only giving me 85mm clearance from ground to pipe. The new ones i had made bring them up closer to the floor with still plenty of clearance and  and a closer fit to the motor so no issues with cross member and still all mandrel bent. Just a few slight over sights that needed to be rectified.

Looking great there Pico.  Like your accelerator setup you posted a while ago too, and the Autometer gauges, think I will have to copy you ;)

The LC is coming along nicely, excellent work and attention to detail.  Particularly like the way you mounted the thermo without punching through the radiator, and using the radiator bolt holes.

You can't be far off rego now.

Thanks,   I changed the throtle cable bracket on the engine and made my own and bolted it to the manifold. Much better. The Thermo fan is fitted using tapered head bolts and countersunk them in to the brackets i made as i don't like spearing the radiator.  Not far away from rego, just waiting on oil catch can, recovery tank and then it will go to get exhaust from Extractors back on and a wheel alignment.

looks good mate but can I offer some advice, change those oil cooler lines. What hose did you use? it wasn't plain old hose with some braid looking stuff put over the top was it? The way they come off the cooler isn't the best and they will probably kink once they heat up.

If it were me i would mount it sideways as the lines will come off the cooler much nicer and it will allow the core to drain.

Thanks very much, The hoses are proper 304 stainless braided line, not some hose just covered with slip on rubbish so it shouldn't kink. I did have it so the pipes were at the bottom and looked much better but after I researched all the posts on here, i read to have it up the way i have it or side ways as to not let the cooler drain as it would get air in it and become trapped and not cool properly. If this is not the case can someone explain which way is the best as i can fix this. I would like to get the best cooling effect and the neatest look with the best effect.

All good. Must just be the picture that makes it look kinked.

its under pressure and shouldn't get air locked in it. If you are at all worried about the hoses kinking get a couple of 180 degree joiners and use them instead. It would look neater with them as well and send the hoses in the right direction.

How are the hoses fixed to the cooler core? are they hose clamped? if my memory serves me correctly proper braided hose should never be hose clamped. Proper fittings that screw together should be used. How much pressure does a red motor oil pump put out? as I am used to working on Nissan's which put out 90 or so psi on full noise

After careful consideration and the help of many of you, i have changed the oil cooler as i didn't like the look of how it was sitting. I have turned it and re-ran the lines.

Still waiting on the few bits to turn up so i can install them and then off to get a exhuast on and wheel alignment.
