Never actually been to any swap and meets and was wondering where would be the place to look for LH-LX torana stuff.Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks

Unfortunately you never know what parts will be at which swapmeet, but it's all part of the buildup process I guess... Best advice if you don't want to waste much time would be to go to the biggest swapmeets. Ballarat, Bendigo, Castlemaine are probably the most likely places to find some LH/LX parts.

They will be at the other smaller swapmeets like Footscray & Geelong too but be prepared that there might not be anything worthy of buying there!

Some of the people there like to charge what they can get on ebay and you can get ripped off if you're not careful (lost count of the number of times I have seen used parts in new boxes that are supposedly NOS!).

Spot on Flamenco :spoton:
Ballarat in Febuary is by far the best swap meet to get torana parts, mainly because it is so big!

Agree with the above guy's but over the last couple of years the Castlemaine swapmeet has turned into a bit of trash & treasure market so I would not travel a long way for that one. Unless your lookin for a porcelain doll, Elvis poster or a tea pot of course. :D
Ballarat is the biggest and as such you have more chance of finding what your after or finding out where to get it.
Cannot really comment on Bendigo as I have not been there for a couple of years but my father goes every year and say's it's not what it used be but then he is a FORD peanut!!
I have heard Friends Holden wreckers in Geelong have alot of good gear...

Good Luck

Agree with your dad Duck05. Bendigo has been full of bric-a-brac and old rusted farm machinery the last few years .
Ballarat is the best by far but like ebay the prices are getting beyond control. you do find a bargain here and there I suppose.
