Re-painting LC grill badge, help

I am re doin elsies grill badge and was wondering if normal paint stripper will damage the detail in the lion.

It will probably damage the plastic. I did one years ago - I used a needle to gently scratch awaye the remains of the paint. Took a long time, but worked out OK in the end.

use acetone and a soft rag on it.

It can be used in nail polish remover, but I wouldn't be shifting through the cosmetics draw and pull it out :P

You can buy around 8-9 dollars for a large tin at hardware stores or paint stores.

Becareful of acetone as it may effect the plastic. I do dash and instrumentation the way that dangerous recommends and would use this method.

You can get repos as good as new off ebay for around $25-30.
Why bother trying to repaint one?
