Hi,
I understand that after ACL had issues Nasons have kept 202 ACL Race Series parts going. From talking to Nasons I believe they are getting the bearings and gaskets from the same ACL factories and importing the pistons and rings from Mahle.
Can anyone confirm if the quality of Mahle pistons is the same as the old ACL stuff?
Cheers.

Mate of mine got a set for a 202 he built up late last year, they look like a pretty good piston
even though made in china, all pistons had the weights of each maked on them.
From memory the top ring groove was closer to crown and i think the comp.rings were thinner than
the old type but dont quote me on that.
They looked like they were well made and finished.

That may be correct.
Are the (imported) pistons they supply to Nasons as 'ACL Race Series' gear any good?

Cheers. That's what I wanted to know. Although I've been talking to a person this morning who is following up some relatively cheap forgies for me...
