It is now confirmed, the Eastside Cruisers Annual Dyno Day is being held again at Goodguys Performance Centre, As you may of heard, Eric and Wendy no longer own Goodguys so this year Lenny the new owner will be doing the honors. The day will be ran the same as in the past, with trophies for Highest Blown/Turbo, Highest N/A and an award for Lennys choice.

There is also a Guess the Horsepower Raffle to raise money for the Club... The car to guess the Power for is my new untuned 355.

The event is capped at 40 cars and is also open to non members so don't delay

We'll have the Torana BBQ trailer there cooking up a storm, Bacon and egg rolls ($3.50ea) for breakfast and snags in bread ($2.00ea) for lunch, with cans of soft drink ($1:50ea) also available.

When - Saturday the 17th of March, kicking off at 8:30am
Where - The Goodguys Performance Centre - Gatwick Rd, Bayswater
How Much - Just $40 for Members and $60 for non members.

Even if you're not putting your car on the dyno, come down for a look, there is always plenty of cool cars to check out.

If you do wanna put your car on the rollers, let me know... I can give you the details to reserve your spot.

Watch out for cops. They seem to be anywhere in Victoria where car guys are having fun!

It still needs to be tuned mate, but I'm going to try and book it in to be done while i'm there on Saturday.

I was planning to go racing on the 25th, but money is just way too tight at the moment, so it'll have to wait.

Well, what a bloody top day yesterday was!!!!

Everyone always loves these! Seeing cars at full noise up close is always great fun!

Numbers seemed to be down all a bit across the day, most people saying that they were down 10-20kw as per normal... But thats always the way on these days, must be the crappy air quality with so many cars going back to back.

Anyway, here is a list of the numbers ran on the day.

I was really happy with the number I pulled, 235rwkw, untuned... The Carby out of the box was bloody fantastic! Amazing that some guy in America, who has never heard of a Holden 355 before can build me something that runs perfectly on my engine!

Hey Matt, congrats on running a good number with your new engine. You looked pretty stoked!

The dyno day was great and I'm glad my arm was twisted a bit and that I actually put the Torana on cos it gave me an idea of what could be improved. In fact the blokes at Goodguys were really helpful and gave me a few pointers as to little things I could do to fix up or improve the car.

Mate I left before Brendan put his HQ on (I didn't know he was actually gonna run it) but jeez the horsepower figure for that is very impressive! For a standard stroke 308 thats pretty strong!

I was super impressed with your figure mate! That thing could easily pick up another 20kw and be a stout little engine that would be fantastic to drive!

Hey Matt that equates to about 320hp, I was expecting for it to be in the 350-400's then again I have no idea what you have got done to your engine. Can you give me a run down of the specs?

Dyno's are funny things mate, each one is different, and there is a fair bit of loss through the driveline. At the flywheel, the engine will have over 450hp.

Remember, the engine still hasn't been tuned... The carby is straight out of the box. With a tune, I'm hoping to push it up closer to 350hp (260kw). The engine is still new and tight, so once it loosens up a bit, that'll help too.

The power it currently has, will deliver me a high 11 second pass, which I'm stoked with! Hopefully once tuned properly, I might be in the mid 11's.
