Gday all, I am looking to replace my LX four doors battery tray as it's rusted (surprise, surprise) but wanted a flat tray as I will be running the battery in the boot - problem is I can't seem to find one. All the panels I can find have the battery tie-down points etc.

Anyone know what the hell I'm talking about and where I can get one? Sure I've seen them somewhere...

Make them yourself. I don't think you can commercially buy flat trays. Just get some A3 cardboard and trace a template. Cut the old tray out and weld the new one in. If you mount it the same height you will need to cut a water drain in the corners. Otherwise you can mount it higher at the outside, so water falls to the engine bay if that makes sense.

Ha ha - makes sense! I've been making a few rust patches, may as well make a battery tray. I will just make a patch for the canister side panel hole too so they will match. Thanks mate, you just saved me $85. :-).

Have seen them on e-bay. I agree with Liam, have a go yourself.
