We all know top fuelers the engine is just for show they actually have a red six hidden in there powering them.

Best engine ever.

Cheers.

300hp, ran 12.7@109 in LC gtr and engine was a piece of crap. You spend $1000 making the power and & $10,000 to holding it together.

I certainly agree with lakesides comment. We got 400 out of the jzed engine but could not stop it leaking water, block twisting we think. However we have now had some super head gaskets made and so will try again

Are we talking aspirated or turbo'd??

I know of a few turbo'd ones that have made substantially more than anything mentioned in this thread, even relative stockies.

Cheers.

200hp at the wheels from a red cranked 202 slap together, turned 30+ laps of wakefield park changing at 7200rpm, revving to 6300-6500rpm in top gear down the straight.

Not the biggest power, but for a cheap build, its definitely doing ok. And no excessive harmonics ;)

Mate, if i can find a way to legally get one engineered in my LJ, i'll be going a Turbo 202 for the next engine. Seeing as my efforts seem futile thus far, 1j is looking like a good plan B.

Cheers.

Turbo and the sky is the limit, heard of 600hp and I bet it never left the dyno. There is red motor around where I live that makes 400+ all day but it has billet stud girdle and caps which is one piece.

As Lakeside said Above ^^ The block would need some damn good press in sleeves if the thing is gunna survive 4 any length of time...... PRO-FC has got it together and turns BIG numbers from a 202 with a truck sized hairdryer bolted 2 thu side....... But majority of these figures come @ HUGE EXPENSE$$$$'$

http://www.jzedholden6.com.au/

if your going for all out power seems to be fairly limited by the old 6 if your looking for good streetable that goes well i think you can get something to pump out enough like orange ljs
if not then try v8 so much easier cheaper and more reliable to make power (says me whose v8 is being a prick and sitting in the back yard) haha

Google WTF202 and check this car out....driven nearly daily, is docile and drivable, but still pulls pretty amazing figures from a fairly basic engine thats been put together with mid range parts and with alot of care and detail.......Its been going strong for about 3 years on this present engine with track day use aswell thrown in. Thats what it is about the little Holden 6 we love....they can cop a hiding and still come back for more.

The engine Im presently building is a klunker 186 +.060" ,Duralite 202 pistoned (I know! bad for combustion) steel cranked and balanced, starfire rodded and ARP bolt, Main and Head Studded, Yella Terra 9 port headed, Crow Hydraulic Cammed piece of poo...thats been built using second hand parts(albeit new rings and bearings) thats made 250 rwhp easily prior to this build , with a T04 turbo'd and Haltech F9(dinosaur injection) Injection on garrett strata manifolds with injector bosses machined into the inlet manifold and an XF Falcon Throttle body........nothing tricky.

Not huge power to the wheels I know, but was driven daily!!
