Wheels On WideBay (Jim Beam 150)

Ok,
It is a happening thing, Chris Bowden is out as the Falcon is too low for the hump (jump?) in the middle of the track but is coming anyway as Bowdens Own I think. The missus has nagged me into entering the WRX driving school car..(my old car)see pic.. and we now find out of the 150 entries there is only 4 in all wheel drive and one is a Landcruiser..?? She wont drive the REX but will drive the Torrie..work that one out. I am in 2 cars for the weekend so if the Qld Torana Club can organise a run with some XU1 and stuff there is display area and it will be huge!!

and YES! I am taping all the signs on, especially the roof one, and running it as you see it!

"She" bought 2 6M x 3M marques today for me to put up on the day so we will have good sun/rain coverage (we learnt at Noosa that we were not organised like the seasoned performers) so there will be room for anyone to drop in out of the sun.. Channel 7 is next door to my office so they are chipping in with sponsorship on the WRX and I am looking at some novelty theme to get some coverage for the missus' driving school...cat tail hanging out the intercooler scoop...Garfield with big eyes strapped to the roof...whatever!..I might even run a huge dummy handle bar moustache!! Anyway it will be fun!! Totally booked out at 150 entires...huge numbers from FNQ, NQ etc..lots of virgins to spinout!! Come and have a look! It will be a hoot!

Got the video working so hope 2 have some stuff. Did a disc face and found the stub had been attacked with a grinder..?? Looked 2day and the left one was as bad so I changed both stub axles. Feel better now that a wheel wont part company with the car!! The Suby will run a cats tail out of the intercooler intake..and I am looking for a 300mm handlebar moustache to wear under my open face just to have a laugh. Hope the Qld Torrie Club comes up for a display...I need the support on the Torrie. The highlight should be the Landcruiser with the 7 litre V8 in it in AWD section!!

The REX got its harness today, fuelled up both cars and spare tanks with booster ($300!!) Channel 7 and Bob Jane stickers are on the REX,Bedded the Torrie brakes and did some experimental hard stops, finding the limits..Test drove the marques to see how hard to put up..took 15 mins each! Did the nitrogen for both cars tyres..hence the Bob Jane stickers..
Waiting for the Koni rear shocks and I am stuffed what else to check!?? The 8 LITRE!! Landcruiser got binned by CAMS so is not running...too dangerous CAMS says??
