Just after some advice on what the best way to do this (fitting 205/50/150 on an lc torana) firstly do i just work the gaurd lip over with hammer and dolly or..? Does it need to be on both front and rear wheel arches? Does anyone have any pictures or other methods to doing this? I'm really just after a good guide to give me an idea of the best way to do it. I have seen the actual wheel mount roller things but surely i can do the same with some hammer and dolly work? Any feedback from someone with these size tyres and how they made them fit on an lc/lj would be great.

Pictures would be really great :)

Cheers

you shouldnt need to do it. i have 225 50 15's on the rear and its fine. But as i put bigger slicks on for the drags i used an angle grinder and cut the inside lip every inch then gently tapped flat with a hammer. Did it all the way accross the arch. im out bush atm but can post photos in a few weeks

I presume your not worried about paint if your gunna attack it with hammer and dolly, but i've seen a mate roll guards with a 2-3" pipe without even damaging the paint. All he did was put the pipe between the tyre and guard and took off very slowly with somebody holding the pipe at about a 60* angle downwards.

If 205's hit than maybe you should have a look at the rim offset

thanks for the reply's, i had a bit of a typo and i was meant to type 225's not 205's but after a bit more of a look around i have just decided to go with the 205's under standard guards. Unless you guys think 225's are a better option and i can modify guards as the car is still in bare metal? i believe 205's are cheaper and easier to get.

cheers

Like I said mate I have 225 50 15's on mine with no dramas.

Depends what you want in the end
