Hey peoples :)

I recently used my LX 4 door in a wedding, and the bloody white ribbon caused some chafing marks on the nose cone + bonnet scoop :( They polished out ok, however I have 2 more weddings coming up later in the year, and I am wondering if anyone knows if you can buy brackets (to keep the ribbon off the paint) that somehow attach to the bonnet catch area?

If not, I will try and make something up, Just thought I would see if there is anything available out there first!

Many thanks :)

Run some clear tape across the surface you want to protect.

I shudder every time I see a nice car with wedding ribbons on... The fluttering always causes damage to the paint work.

Or a couple of carefully placed pieces of masking tape.

I was asked to do a wedding a couple of years ago and beforehand I visited a local Limo company and obtained some ribbon from them.

They had a type/brand of ribbon that is made specifically for this purpose, maybe visit your local.

I have never understood why ribbons are put on wedding cars in the first place. Why spoil the look of a Torana with a poxy ribbon?
