So ive change the gasket on the oil sump, flange looks good, changed the o ring on the kick down, changed the o ring on the dip. Put about 4 letres in it, left it over night. had a look thismorning and no leaks, thought I had it but as soon as I started it, the flange started to leak right near the kick down.

HELP!!!

What pan are you using? Chrome from Taiwan is guaranteed to leak, too flimsy and gasket surface not flat. Did you check that the pan was flat before you installed it by sitting it on a flat surface or sheet of glass and going around it with a feeler guage?

Looked at the pan and it looked straight, but I didn't put it on a flat surface, so I'll try that. Also I am using a cork gasket from repco, should I be using a rubber gasket?

Overtightening of the pan mounting bolts can distort the flange and cause leaks.

Cork should be OEM and fine, probably better than rubber.

Did you use anything on it?? Silicones make cork slippery and slide out, contact adheisive on one side is the goods for cork.

Cheers.

Used nothing on it, just straight in. How much oil do they take, how much would stay in the converter?

Use a little trans fluid or vasoline on the gasket, the last thing you need is bits of silicone inside your transmission. If you only dropped the pan around 4 litres should be enough.

Fixed the problem. The pan wasnt straight. Bought a new pad n gasket, used grease on the gasket. No leaks :)
