Hello everyone, I am seeking advice on how the best possible way of attaching a external Sunvisor to the Torana. Please review the attached photo for clarification.

Any diagrams and or blueprints would be great assistance.

Thanks kindly in advance.

Presuming that sunvisor is made to suit LH, LX & UC, simply undo the two acorn nuts on each end and remove the stainless clamping plates. Open the front doors and with one person at each end insert the ends of the visor fully into the drip rail channels and adjust the visor up and down in the drip rail channel to achieve best position and fittment. Now install the clamp plates back onto the studs. The clamp plates should have locked over the drip rail into the door opening, then install the acorn nuts and tighten.

Earlier model Holden sunvisors had a support bracket that attached to the centre of the roof, just above the windscreen, so I'm not sure if the LH etc sunvisors had this support bracket or not.

You may wish to install some type of protective sleeve over the ends of the visor to protect the paint in the drip rail channel.

Hey Dave, thanks for your advice, greatly apprciated.

Downside is, I have removed the drip rail on the drivers side, lead filled and all painted and the like. I was planning on doing the same on the passenger side.

It is all good though, I shall place the visor in storage and maybe use on another project down the track, who knows.

I may even look at trying to mount it to the car in a different type of format.

Nevertheless, I appreciate the advice.
