Memorial Service - Lakeside Raceway - 19 July 2012

Good Morning,

I received a call yesterday in regards to a request for a couple of Toranas to be present at a memorial service being held at Lakeside Raceway tomorrow afternoon.

A fellow enthusiast was killed in a car accident recently and his wife has arranged the use of Lakeside for a couple of hours for family and friends to pay their last respects and fulfill the deceased's request of being sent off with a burnout or two by a couple of hot Torana's (preferably LJ or LX but any model will be fine).

I know it is late notice but if anyone from the forum can oblige, the family would be most grateful. As Lakeside is a QTCC SIV sanctioned destination, those on SIV are ok to attend.

Details are as follows as well as a copy of the email I was sent. If you can make it, please let me know.

Where - Lakeside Raceway (Lakeside Road Kurwongbah QLD 4503)
When - Thursday 19 July
Time - 1pm to 3pm

"Hi Tony,

I just spoke to my sister Alicia, she is under the impression that you can do a lap of the track however it can't be a fast lap (sorry), she is trying to confirm everything with Lakeside but is having trouble contacting them at the moment. She has been given permission for a burnout in the pits and if someone is willing to do this she will pay for tyres beforehand, she is also willing to pay for time if necessary. She would prefer either an LJ or LX but isn't that picky as long as it's a classic Holden. The memorial is Thursday the 19th July between 1pm and 3pm. Any extra details I find out I will let you know ASAP. Any help with this is greatly appreciated, thank you.
