hey guys i cant get full lock on my lc. in the car park if you turn the wheel full lock it just scrubs the tyres out!! why does it do this? would it be becuase the off set on the wheels is to far out or something as they seem to be pretty far out they must be off a hr or something becuase they are 13 x 7 and i cant even fit 205 tyres under the gaurds whilst the guys in the club can get 215's well inside the guards....

It would suggest that both teh offset of teh rims maybe wrong and or the front is highly modified. It is quite common for the LC/J to scrub anyway as the whole idea of having teh steering rack infront of the wheels just makes the steering geometry all screwy.

Do you have a piccy?

Cheers

The problem is incorrect "toe-out on turns" an inbuilt fault from the factory. It is the angle of the steering arm to the stub and there is no adjustment.

Get a wheel alignment to make sure it doesn't have a bent steering arm. If that is OK, tell them to set the toe-in to its minimum value.

Lowered springs will also exacerbate the problem. I just accept that sooner or later the outer part of the tyre is going to scrub out.
