ok hears the story, ive shortend and fitted a vs comoodore's borg warner diff housing to the back of my LH torana..... with the standard banjo housing the both rear wheels would scrub on the gards, now with the BW diff only the drivers side scrubs.... across the weekend i set up some string lines and took a stack of measurements and its out to the tune of about 15-20mm.... the diff was made in a jig which made a stack of these diffs for other cars before with no issues. one mate who mucks around with suspension stuff said an adjustable panhard bar from that matching commodore with a bit of modding to suit the torana is the go...... the bloke that built the diff for me said adjestable upper controll arms are the go and a panhard bar would just causing havoc with the ride hight...... i my self cant see how a controll arm length would change the center line of it, the angle the diff sits compared the the tailsharft maybe but not side to side......
ANY help or advice would be great.....

diff housing not centered to car body

I would check the measurements of the trailing arm mounting brackets and the distance from the axle flange to the mounting brackets.
The Torana diff will move around a bit on the trailing arms but it should have roughly the same movement left and right.
If the old diff sat in the center and you are using the same trailing arms then the new diff should sit in the center. Panhard bars and adjustable arms would just be hiding some other problem.
