There are some other mobs that do it as well.
Opinions, thoughts??

It is also debatable whether they can put too much stress on the manual rack and linkages.

I like the idea of the kit, but as above it may put too much stress through the input shaft of the manual rack and you have the option to reduce the steering wheel size to take advantage of the assisted steering. Also I don't know how good the quality of the control system and motor is. Feedback on someone who's tried it would be best.. If it works and its reliable, I like it...

can be a good alternative for some people to help with packaging of components in an engine bay.

The HQ is getting an electric steering setup!
It's an Astra pump mounted in the boot and powered from the battery (also in the boot)
Steering is a reconditioned HQ standard steering box, and the lines and just plumbed to suit!
Easy as pie

Haven't driven it yet though, still getting some other stuff done!

We wanted power steer and had the hq setup from wayne blown308,
I have always been concerned about cavitation on high revs with an engine driven pump, not to mention the mess in the bay and parasitic losses.
This electric setup solved the lot!

I meant reconditioned power steering box (not manual box)
