This is my other lx 4 door torana, i have the uc which i will be rebuilding to drive everyday with my old 202 engine. but this 4 door is the one that i'm am working on, most of all the fab work has been done already.

potential of the four door when done should be about 300 RWKW and comprising of a body weight of about 950kg. oh and still street registered. :-)

the red is still a holden colour,
if my memory serves me right, (going back about 6 years) its spectrum fan red group 3.

its very different colour, much nicer when fresh paint, however that was only 1 coat of 2 pack, did the job for my for a while. car will be resprayed. :-)

the blue is just to highlight certain components, to break it away from the black and red. sometimes you can have too much of one car and need to seperate it.

Should go hard :)

What mods are you doing to get the weight down to 950kgs? No interior etc? Those motors are cast block right?

Very nice, very nice. I take it this has been a fairly long project so far?

I'm a bit skeptical about 950kg... I'm keen to look at any weight-saving efforts and I don't doubt you can get it down to around 1050 or less but 950 might be cutting it; suppose that depends on the setup under the bonnet to some extent too.

Those motors are cast block right?

re that

t70 turbo yes,

still cast block

weight reduction is starting with fibreglass bumpers, guards, bonnet, bootlid, all four doors, nose cone, thats just the start, oh don't forget the engine is lighter as well

Your gonna run fibreglass doors on a fully street registered car? :<_<:

Those rb motors aint light, I've helped my mates load one on and off a ute. I don't reckon there's hundreds of kilos of difference between that and a 308.. I think theres about 80kgs between a 202 and a 308, so I'm guessing an rb motor would be somewhere inbetween, they're alot bigger than a 202.

the rb is smaller than the 202, only looks big because of the twin cam head. but i do have to pull out the rb soon so i'll weight it on some scales if i get the chance.

that should hammer mate! I would be interested to see how far you can get the weight down.
If I didnt get a torana, I would have a 1600!
