Hi South Radelaideans,

Due to my new job I'm going to have to learn how to use the VIN disk a little better. Can anyone show me how to use it at the next HTC meeting? I've tried a few times to get the hang of it but can't seem to get it!

Thanks

Laurie

What do you mean? How to interpret the data? I assume you mean the LC/LJ Service/Warranty printout scan that is getting around on CD?

That's the one. I need to be able to verify that the numbers I'm given on an LC/LJ match up.

The only numbers off the car that appear in the service/warranty records are the PSN. possibly the engine number that was in the car when the data was recorded (normally at 1000kM service) and if you are really lucky the transmission serial number. None of the rest which matter just as much or more are on there, ie chassis number, body number, paint line and trim line.
