Rightio, what's the best way to get to Bathurst from the Goldie, bear in mind we'll be driving a starship enterprise size motor home towing a trailer.

Who else is making the trip down and when are you leaving.

Cheers

Easiest is via the coast - Pacific Hwy then use the M2/M7/M4 and go over the Blue Mountains and then on to Bathurst.

Best is to ditch the starship and drive the XU1 inland. Cunningham Hwy, New England, and down to Bathurst. I know which one will put the biggest smile on your face :)

Looking forward to meeting you and seeing your car. Your build story was inspirational.

Just got back from the Blue Mountains last night, drove Katoomba to Brisbane via Pacific Highway. Coffs Harbour is the Pit's roadworks Woolgoolga to Coffs.Watch out for
tip trucks with rock's falling off ( ask Mickyed ). Great Western Highway ,roadworks Woodford to Wentworth Falls. Bullaburra from my sisters property(where the D.M.R are
stockpiling all there crap) to the top of Boddington hill is slow going some times.
Take your long Johns to Bathurst next weeks temp's down to below zero some mornings not very plesant race day
Have fun though.

So went with your advice Craig and busted it down the middle then through the putty road OMG that has to be one of the best driving roads in Australia. Bit sketchy full noise in the motor home though lol.

From what i have heard a lot of people who took cars from as far away as WA and didn't get to do the lap of the track as was said in the paperwork sent out.
Must of been very disapointing for everyone.. Its a shame when these things happen. If i recall correctly they didn't stop the fords last year for there 40th year...
Must be ford lovers down there.

Hi Dave

I can tell you that in all of the Paperwork that Todd sent out it was always "proposed" track time and would always be up to V8 supercars.

cheers
Mick

ok i read it as it was a parade around the track. It was one of the reasons i wanted to go but the cost blow out killed it for me.
