Rumour has it , not the original .....

the 84 car Peter Champion has is not original ( he has Harveys car painted up as Brocks) but this is the 82 car and I think this might be genuine

may need a rethink...
The hdt forum covered this in depth and i am led to believe the consensus was less than complimentary

HDT did a big thing on the 84 car, a few of the guys who should know including Brock, plastic all said the Champion 84 car was the 84 winner and the car at Bathurst museum was the Harvey car painted up as Brocks however a lot of research with photos and paint analysis showed the Bathurst car was not altered from original paint and sticker position and was therefore the genuine Brock 84 winner and as such the Champion owned and beautifully restored car is in Harvey's 84 Bathurst race car. One of the few brand new race cars he got to race in his career. For me all the proof I needed to see was watching the 84 race on lap 67? Grice punts Harvey off at the end of the start straight and puts a lovely dent in the left rear quarter of Harvey's car. Having personally looked closely at the rear quarter and in the boot of the car at Bathurst there is no sign of any damage or repairs to the left quarter, therefore MUST be Brocks car.

The car at the start of this thread is the 82 car, I do not recall any discussion as to it not being Genuine Brock race car. I do know that several of the cars at Champions are replicas or mock ups, for the most part Peter Champion has been open about that, and I don't blame him for being upset and claiming his 84 car was genuine after all Brock himself said it was and even wrote a very shitty letter to Australian Muscle Car mag when Champions 84 car heritage was questioned

Yes Mike, i'm not talking about the argument on the 84 car.

The car taken to Goodwood also came under similar scrutiny regarding its provenance.

I'll find you a link.
