it seems on ebay even the 044's advertised as genuine are a good chance of being fake, and then u have the few odd sellers that say they are fakes. my question is has anyone here actualy used one themselves and what was your experiance with them?

I bought one a few years back off eBay. Was like $250 or something? Came in a Bosch box. Had Bosch stamped all over the pump.

I think they usually go for $400 or something?

Worked well in my application. Used the stock efi pump as a lift pump into a surge tank then the Bosch pump to the donk.

No idea if it was fake or real or what??????

yeah ive been talking to a seller on ebay that advertises them as exact copys but not the real deal. says he uses them himself with no problems and has sold alot with no returns. of course they say anything to sell there wares but he also offers a 12mth warrenty on the pump being faulty or wont pump to 044 specs. i figure at least the guy is honest about them being fake and the warrenty makes me feel a little better. was thinking of trying my luck.

How much are they? He might warranty the pump but will he also warranty the motor if you lean it out?

I paid around $200 for mine. Genuine as far as I can tell. Bosch box stamped etc.
I wouldn't waste my time on Chinese copy cat rubbish

A friend has a Chinese "044" fitted to his V6 Commodore powered 1200 Datsun Coupe, which has been used for about 3 years, & have not had any trouble at this stage. It runs methanol & an SC14 blower & runs 11.89@112mph at the strip.
I purchased a genuine Bosch 044 from http://www.enginemaster.com.au/
www.ebay.com.au/itm/BOSCH-044-INLINE-MOTORSPORT-FUEL-PUMP-0580254044-GENUINE-BOSCH-/180788779825?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a17d9db31
