resently ordered both front n rear adjustable sway bars for my lx, payed as soon as i got the paypal invoice, took 3 weeks for delivery, bars look like they were painted in gmh black, kicked around the floor for a few weeks and then lightly touched up with etch primer. cost me $1026 for the pair to the door. wtf happened to the nice powder coated orange? front bar brackets that bolt to the bumber bar brackets are warped, welds look simler to a few ive done in an emergance while drunk as frOck. the hangers are poor at best. im so dissapointed. on the other hand i bought adjustable billet strut tops for my vl at the same time, $493 deliverd to the door, amazing quality and finish. love every thing about them. how is this from the same company?? are we torana drivers worth less than commodore fans? will we put up with crap? i realy dont know what to say or do except be unhappy. another jd is on the way while in thought. was expecting the best from the best. seems best no more.

The K-MAC orange powder coating was also a joke. Mine were so badly chipped that I stripped and painted them. On the plus what was left of the powder coat was easy to remove.

First set of brackets for the front mount front swaybar had the holes punched in the wrong place, second set were better. The rear mount adjustable rear swaybar u-bolts for the brackets that attach to the shock had metric threads with imperial nuts.

Good design, extremely poor execution.

When mine were made they were made in Australia. When I called K-Mac I was told that the guy operating the punch was a stoner and no one had been checking his work. I have no idea how they managed to stuff up the powder coating.

It is the same problem that plagues many aftermarket parts manufacturers, no quality control or checking of parts before they are sent out.

If they were made in China then the finish would probably be better, it could not be any worse.

yeah i havent contacted them yet as i only recived them yesterday while haveing a few with the boys. they also were shocked at the quality, or lack of. took a while to be able to drop a grand on a pair of sway bars. far to much money for what i got in return. i guess if they do the job it will be worth haveing them and i can fix the cosmetic stuff but i shouldnt have too. kmac definately isnt what it used to be. havent even attempted fitment yet. if they dont fit then i will blow up.

I had the same problem with my Front adjustable sway bar from kmac.

The welds were very under average and the fitment wanst very good to the bottom arms. I rang and told them about it and the guy laughed and said the bloke welding must have had a big night before.

Saying that,It hasnt broken yet.

They hire stoners to operate heavy machinery, laugh about the garbage quality of their product and then blame it on alcoholism, and implicitly both of these things are acceptable under company policy if they're gonna be using them as excuses.... while apparently have absolutely no quality control... or even supervision of the shit they make and send out at huge prices to their customers?

thanks for the heads up.

yeah im quite amazed they are still in business. if i had known before had i likely would have bought elsewhere. anything ive got from whiteline has been nice quality, they just dont make the same style of adjustable swaybars as far as im aware. like i said tho the strut tops were awesome quality, maybe there out sorsed to china or somewhere.
