I need to completely re-wire the torana and have been looking at a few universal wiring harnesses and want some reviews if you have used 1.

Here are the 1's ive been looking at.

http://www.ebay.com....=item337d6027a1

http://www.ebay.com....=item41626b041c

The last 1 sounds better to me because of the extra warranty, but i dont know much about electrical stuff.

Looking at buying a kit by the week end.

Careful with warranty on wiring, I think you void once the smoke is released from the insulation.

ok. Might just go the bluewire motorsport wiring kit then. They advertise and have stands at most car shows, so surely theyd have to be good and well known. I was just sussing out their website.

Using that logic Procomp must make quality parts. :)

My advice would be to choose the kit hat has a fuse box that suits your application.

EZ Wiring have some mini fuse boxes.

You could also look at Painless Performance.

I don't think warranty is worth much. You won't be removing the harness to send it back for a repair/replacement.

used a trunk mount kit in my hatch and have used the ez wire before but would choose painless over the ez wire. i found the painless easier and had better after sales back up with the painless forums and you could also buy the appropriate painless upgrades in kit form to add eg waterproof fuel pump wiring kits, thermo fan kits etc but that's all down to personal preference

I've got it but won't wire the car up until after its been sandblasted. I pulled it out of box and It all looks pretty straight forward, the wires are all marked along sheath every 30cm saying where it goes.

Can i ask which painless kit is the best to use? Ie buy the kit with the gm ignition switch plug or just buy a universal one and use the exsisting ignition switch plug?

been looking at this one see link

I would also need to run wiring for a fuel pump and electric water pump.

Mate I don't know which is best, I'm all new to this aswell. Lol. I just bought the pro15 kit from bluewire Motorsport. It has everything I want. I don't need the waterproof stuff coz mine is inside boot. I hope it works good.

Thanks mate! seems to be the same as the one i want to use except to suit in the rear of the car, Ill just be using a under dash one kit i think as i would like to keep it under the dash, once again thanks mate. One more thing, i notice they dont really supply a relay block with there kits, did you upgrade your headlights with relays at all? something i will be doing myself. Just ask out of curiosity cheers ryan

the relay is in the fuse box and needed no additional parts but i did loose the hi beam on the switch so have a floor mount dipper switch but only because i was running out of time and took the easy way out.

if you're retaining the std dash set up and it all works then you can just rewire to the existing 12 pin dash plug aswell
