We're the 4th owners, the guy who did the restore brought it from his uncle, who brought it new.
One of 6 painted in this colour & supposedly the only one with white int, sunroof, auto & pwr steer. Yet to prove this but the GT historian is talking to ford about providing a report similar to the Marti report used in the US which gives you numbers built with the same options.
Original block, heads & intake. Stroked to 406 cubes, 325 at the rear wheels. Not huge, but a healthy torquey motor. Has. 2,500 stall fitted with 3.25 gears. I have the original dissy, carby, coil, exhaust manifolds, torque converter & diff gears (2.75).
Have receipts for a $70k restore, & it shows.
Had to get rid of the red wall tyres as they scraped on the front when turning. Don't know why people put up with shit like that...
Hopefully get it licensed next week.

Regardless of the badge it is a beautiful car from a great period in motoring history.
Good luck on the Rego, doesn't look like you'll have any issues

Rego shouldn't be a problem, that's why I changed the tyres. I spent about 2 hrs under it tightening nuts & bolts, as I think this needs to be done after they've been apart & it proved worthwhile.
Got some red walls for sale now!

Not a huge Falcon fan but the XA's aren't too bad, and that's a very nice example.

Sweet, looks better without the red walls anyway. Not sure about keeping a white interior clean...!
I reckon it's better without the red walls too. The interior is the wife's job!

The one thing I've always loved about the XA/B/C coons is their extra large wheel wells that take a huge ass tyre without any modification

Quag, my best had a XA 302 fairmont as his 1st car, we couldn't kill it. It was rough as, primer grey. He lost his licence for 158 kph before he got his 'official' paper licence.

i had a xd wagon like that 351 with a 2bbl stromie or carter... fmx auto different coloured doors rusty quarters and roofYou can't fit much under the front as they hit the firewall. 25 years ago I would've belted it with a sledge & made 245/60x15's fit!
