Hi All,
Have you had enough of your Aussie 4 speed shifter being loose that when you change gears
it gets jammed, well you can fix it by making a new selector pin and welding a plate to connect the
under-side of the plates that are against the pivot shaft.
I have doe this and the Shifter is Firm all the Time no matter how hard you slam it. Dave I

p.s. I also made it so you can screw the Stick out for when it is stolen.

Hi Dave,
I hope you have some photos and description cause I'd like to see the result.

What does this mean?

p.s. I also made it so you can screw the Stick out for when it is stolen.

Why would you screw your stick out when it's stolen????

Do you mean you can screw the gear stick out so it doesn't get stolen?

Cheers
Marty

OK, as Requested by Marty,
I got the Aussie 4 Speed Shifter Out to show You the Modifications I made to the FORK so the Shifter Stays Tight no matter how hard you slam it:-

The Shifter Gear Stick is 220mm Long and is a Good Slamming Length for a LC/ LJ. Dave I

p.s. I re-made the Fork out of 316 Stainless and the Selector is Machined to do the Job.

Hi judgelj,
The close up pictures is the part that needs attention - the plate welded to the bottom of the Fork stops the side plates spreading from the assembly shaft. Dave I
