Hi guys before it gets shifted just wondering if any forum members have bought & fitted these seat covers to either lc or lj, how well did they fit, was there any dramas, are they worth buying? is the backing & stiching correct? & do they look original he has good feedback & they seem good but it's a lot of money if there not correct & a good deal if they are, some friends & i are curious as to quality & fitment must be info from someone fussy & know's whatthere looking @ thanks, Grumpy xu1 Also keen to see quality & fitment of these new lj headlight & tailight surounds if any fusy buyer has seen & hopefully fitted some could you please mention or better still add photos to the forum cheers
Like the ol' saying......You get what you pay for. If you want absolute perfection you have to pay for it. I bought some LC ones and am getting them fitted at the moment. My upholster said they are not perfect but for the price they aren’t that bad. You also have to remember a bit of it comes down to how they are fitted. If the upholster does a crap job they are going to look worse than they actually are.
Will load some photos up when I get them back.

your trimmer fit new foam? & did he
spend much time fitting them, if you can
load more photos could be really handy
for some people how did the shape &
fitment compare to the originals & more
importantly how close does the grain ect
compare to genuine, thanks for all Gary.

The trimmer did fit new foam as the old stuff was quite worn, replaced all material that covers the springs (brown sack like stuff) and we had to replace a few broken springs in the drivers seat. He did spend a bit of time on them as I wanted them to look as best as we could get them without going too overboard. The front seats were a little tighter to fit but better tighter than loose. I think every set of covers is going to be different from set to set and fit each seat differently. The grain is perfect, you cant fault that. The biggest let down with these covers is where the fabric has creased/bunched in the stiching.
Will post some more pics when I have the car out next.

These photos are the answer to the original question....
Shithouse. Sorry GTR-1 but they look crap. If i didnt lnow otherwise i would say you had a crack at trimming yourself..... Rubbish.
Out of interest what is the bill for fitment by a trimmer?

cheers for the info. i have posted a few threads regarding this with bugger all replies. would you recommend them GTR-1 ??? looks ok to me. few fittment issues but the quality looks ok.
If you're on a budget.... I recomend them. If not..... spend 3k+ and have some made from scratch to fit YOUR seats of YOUR car and not made to fit someone else seats like these ones. Since I have two cars I even bought some for the other one, this time a LJ XU-1. They wont be done for a few months so no pics as of yet.

As gtr1 said for those on a budget & lets
not pick on anyone that is !!!! they
aren't to bad,certainly looks better
than a ratty interior or tears ect. Yes
mate more photos for those interested &
it would be interesting to see how the
lj one's fit might be better because not
as many small pieces of trim. I wonder
if on another set of seats how well
they'd fit? & honestly i.m.o.i'd say
some of the gmh trim fitted similar ie
(mass produced) of a template

+1^... As stated above... my build was on a budget also and I had a crack at most things myself to save the $$$ where I could.... These covers are great and much better than having torn and crappy seats... as for fitting them, just take your time and all will be ok....
Not taking anything away from those who do this for a living... its just some of us cant spend all our $$$ on our hobby...
Cheers

Not everyone can afford to build a show car ( as much as we want to ). Mines going to be a driver so it will be as good as I can make it within the budget restrictions imposed by the minister for finance love and war.
Good job mate

It is a new product and if fitted by a professional should not have creases and flat spots like those pics...
If they do, either the guy making them is not doing it well, or the guy fitting them is not doing it well..... I would not be happy having paid around $1300 total for those..
