What an incredible car, well done!

Thanks mate and everybody else who have commented.
I remember the early days when the damn motor wouldnt fit between the rails lol. That was a bad start but i wasnt prepared to let that stop me.
I should say for now the car is complete at its first stage. I will run around in it like this for a while, perhaps couple of years and then it will be a proper restoration as first intended.
My wife will be having our first baby soon (some call it my second baby after the Torana lol)so have to wind back on the spending for a while.
Im not sure what colour i want to paint it but im thinking either a bright orange copper (has a orange redish tinge) metalic. Or a bright green metalic.
Body work and paint is so expensive but worth it.
Hope to meat up with some of you guys in a cruze
Thanks everyone

Both sound nice (but you could probably do anything with your car and we'd all stil love it). Bodywork is cheap compared to mechanicals!

That colour (red/orange/copper) was inspired by a Chopper/motorcycle builder on biker build off. When i saw the colour i thought yep thats it.
Its bright but classy
"but you could probably do anything with your car and we'd all stil love it" Of course you would youre a Torana brother lol

Wow, 3.5 years later!

Nice work Bart. I thought I saw your car at rare spares (I was driving past on parra road) and it reminded me of this thread.

Good to see its done (apart from the paint).

Any traction issues? :P

hehe yes i have given it a bit but scared of blowing it up since its not tuned. The motor isnt normally turboed so all that air pumped into the motor may lean it out. The injectors are a little limited.

Congrats Bart. Let me know when your up for a cruise and I'll come up.

Hey studricho are you going?

Not bad. I started a new job today, but I managed to fall of a ladder, horse hair plaster fall on me, caught myself going past the truck and palmed a nail almost through my hand yesterday at my old job.

I couldn't use my left hand from about 2pm until this morning on the way to work. Even changing gears is hard.

I'm working on the mini Torana tonight....
