Currently looking at painless ones, im not sure if a 12 or 18 circuit would better suit my needs. And do they give you enough length in the wires to hide them?
thankyou

I don't really know when it comes to aftermarket stuff, but some times it's not straight forward. IMO by the time you stuff it up, fix it, call your mate to help, beer and still not quiet right the cost can nearly match up a full new one from vin wire.
that's how i decided to get one made new, also i didn't have the full base working model as the GTR one was cut off at the fire wall, but had a full four door one.
I'm no electrician either, but they charge about 60 per hour, this helped when i did the math on what i had and how much work was needed.

They aren't that hard to work out, just takes a little time. Better than sticking in an old one I figure with old wiring.
Has anybody had any dealings with this NKA fella?

Try this bloke:

He will also add additional wires into the loom for other things like alarm, etc. I found him to be very helpful. I never ordered the loom as I went a different direction, but maybe someone else has used him?

Yea ill get a new one or get someone to do it either way, just need to some up my options and find the cheapest. The wires that came with the car seem to be ok (everything worked) but it was with a standard dash, i want the gtr dash now so i don't know about this new wiring, plus a lot of it is pretty rubbish after having a good look at it the other day.
Might be worth me going around and asking what it would cost someone to do it. 60 an hour doesn't seem to bad but i have no idea how long it would take?

Hamo,
I am going through the same thing.
I looked around and finally settled on the 16 circuit RHD kit from Rebel Wire in the US.
http://rebelwire.com...p?cat=Wire Kits
It was cheap enough and looks pretty good but I haven't started the fitment process yet. I am confident enough to tackle it as have some electrical experience and a Auto Speky mate to call on to answer my questions.
Must say these guys were very good to deal with. Though the loom has no plugs, so they must be fitted.
Cheers

I used a painless kit on the Hatch, found it quite, well, painless.
Only hassle i had was self inflicted, i used the UC indicator stalk with wiper control and i also removed the ignition switch, i had Dave solder the changes to my wiring as i can't solder for shit.
otherwise, it went in well and is still going.
