On a budget and I have been looking at some compressors at Supercheap autos, found 2 that are quite cheap, both are Black ridge 2.5hp one for $229 180L/min

Any good for spraying a car?

I think the compressor I am baby sitting is rated in cfm, so what would the 250 litre/min be in cfm?

And don't forget that you need 250lpm / 9cfm of FREE AIR DELIVERY not compressor rating.

Try some local (dedicated) tool shops, they usually re brand middle of the road compressors at reasonable prices, or just buy the biggest and best one you can plug in at home. (remember some larger compressors require 15amp plugs).

Two of those super junk ones linked together would work ok, still under $500.

Cheers.

So you would hook the two compressor outlets in parrallel then? I'm not seriously considering tools from SC again, just looking for an option to avoid installing a 15A line in the house.

I am limited to 230VAC @ 10 A. The cost of the ugrade is disproportionate to the available funds.

my Transformer cost $6500 when it was installed by Western Power 5 years ago and another $14000 for the 50squaremm cable down to the shed 190 metres. Dave I

p.s. had to make sure I can have anything I needed like a Lathe and Milling machine etc

Basically, yeah.

Im considering getting a second 16ish cfm compressor and linking it with my old one to give me 32cfm....But i hate waiting for air to build up, and you cant buy much bigger than 20cfm in single phase anyway.

For your purpose, if you have two 10a outlets handy, would work fine.

Cheers

SuperCrap have 180lpm FAD compressors on special for $170 - plus maybe another $40 for fittings you could link them together and have 360lpm for less than $400 :)

How about a spare 202/Trimatic hooked up to one of these?

Stock 202 is probably a bit overkill.

Either a twin turbo 308 or six RB30DET's daisychained would be more suitable.

Cheers.
