Street Meet @ AIR 17th March

To those not on Facebook or who may not have heard, the street meet has been cancelled due to only 28 entries as of today

 

I am very disappointed, myself and Brad (not gonna lie, mostly Brad) spent so many hours getting the HB ready, entry was going to be emailed tomorrow morning. 

 

Everyone needs to sit back and think, if there's no support from entrants, there won't be spectators, sponsors or events. It'll be like a few years ago when we were all complaining that there was no strip. We've got it, why is no one going??

As you say, if not on facebook you wouldn't know.  There's ALOT of people not on facebook.

 

Wednesday/Thursday night street drags would be good.  Everyone could have a go, and the 'big boys' could test & tune etc. before a 'proper meet' on the weekend...

Yeah me too...it seems that unless you get emailed newsletters, or notifications through Facebook on Racing-onn's Page...........it doesnt seem to be very well publicised.

 

Kinda sucks really, as it would have been awesome to sit on the hill and watch some grass roots racing.

Not what I meant, he just let the Facebook people know. Its not hard to check out their website, that's how we keep up to date with Whyalla, Mildura, Heathcote etc. All of the upcoming events are on there.

He was letting entries on the day like is used to be, but with so few early entries decided to pull it. I'm not feeling the love at all.To pull an event (not the first time this has happened) isn't good for the entrants that worked to get their cars ready. I won't be relying on his calendar again, entry on the day only so he doesn't have to refund me if it happens again.

Too easy, now that I know there are a few interested, I might put a post up when there are new entries/info added.

I'd be straight in if I had known about it,  wasted my money on the Tailem Bend "all day power play" where there were just burnouts/skids. I want actual track times.

I've just purchased a car that I'm going to have some fun in at the strip, so the next street meet is definately on the cards for me...........as a competitor this time and not a spectator....finally!

Brilliant! There's talk that the next street meets will be Saturday nights, so should be interesting! Will keep everyone updated.
