well im not the full bottle on stallies but i wld say that you would no if it was a stally or not if you were already driving it ... if that makes any sence. so unless it was sliping untill you got up to like 2500 or 3000 or something i guess u could safely say its not a stally..
am i wrong??

Standard convertor will stall at around 1200-1500 and is proportional to engine horsepower. What I mean here is a 308 would have a higher stall speed than a 173 through the same convertor.

Depending on High-Stall size the converters come in different size's like im pretty sure they start at 11" diameter for a standard stall for a Holden V8 and the smaller the diameter the bigger the converter like example i have had a 3200 stall and it was a 10" converter and i have had a 4000 stall and it was a 9" converter and now i have a 5000 stall and it is a 8" but all are different especially when you jump a thousand rpm at a time.
i hop[e this has helped

And if you are looking at choosing a High-Stall for you car the best way is if the car has been dyno'd then you know at what rev's the motor stopped making Torque , What rev's the motor stop's making Torque is normally the converter needed but some time's that can be un streetable.
I hope this has also helped.
