You might want to get on to Aus muscle cars and find out the huge commission they charge for a listing before you shot the guy for trying.Of course he isn`t going to wear that and will add it to the price,if you could talk to him without them knowing I sure the price would differ GREATLY.
Same as, just MY 2 cents worth also.

Just checked their website...they charge 5.5% on completion of a sale which is not all that bad I suppose as they have to make a living. I'm not knocking the bloke for the asking price as I said in my opinon for what the car is and what it's missing there are cheaper/better cars around (although hard to find)

If you have a contact or know the owner get on to him to post it here for sale and save everyone some hard to come by cash.

I believe that sites like AMC do no justice for potential buyers as we all agree that they severely overprice alot of their vehicles.
I for one was very put off by the asking prices for their cars but through perserverence found one for much less. My personal opinion is that their site is no real indication of current prices. If you are a seller you would get very excited by the sight of asking price of many of the cars but in reality that price is very rarely what the car sells for and the way their site is set up you never know the final selling price therfore can only assume the car sold for the asking price. So what we have is a bunch of potential sellers that automatically assume that their car is worth "X" amount and are usually adiment in trying to get it.
So for the buyer it is very easy to be put off by over inflated !!!
Food for though!

You`ll notice that once it sells the price disappears from the listing and it is only word of mouth that we find out the sale price.

and demand value and misleads potential sellers both on their site and anywhere else.
I tried to get price/value for E49 6 pack charger for my son in law,
only one I could find at time was there but sold so no price.
So he didn't buy it, no true value assessment, even one genuine sale better than none.

pretty sure this car used to drive past my place in the
80''s well if only we had a time machine,
thinks its the same bloke who had the mcrae bros L34
group c car from tassie as well.
I knew danny newland when he had a parts store here late 80's
should of asked him to sell it then dammmnnn.
would it be worth more/less as a restored group c race car??

Those Chargers/E49`S are gettin` rarer by the day!!!If only we knew back then that just because they wouldn`t turn a corner or stop that they would become collectable.
Sorry couldn`t help it
