Nice pictures. As far as I'm concerned there is only one car nicer than a Barbados Green SL/R 5000 and thats a Barbados Green L34!

:o Collecting original parts already? You're not old enough yet!

Heath, Im 40 ( well on the 16th of July, I'll be 40 ).
I hate buying spare parts but its a necessary evil. These things are drying up very quickly, and when Im older ( cough, cough ) the L34 will be returned to its orginal condition. But for now, HTFO

Wow, this is a neat way to get you post count up !!!

Anyhow, its good manners to reply to all fan mail ( wink wink ) !!

Tiny - Thanks mate. The next cruise should be even bigger and better. Im trying to get to the one organised for 1 July ( Tuff's organising it ). Are you going?

Yella - You crack me up !!! LOL. Plot, come to think of it - my wife did say something about losing the plot.
As for the smoke, that problem presented itself at a wedding with the consent of the local constablilary ( who happened to be part of the bridal party ). problem has since been rectified. Thanks for your concern ( arh, hmm ).

Kudu - yeah man, Barbados rocks. I think the GMH design team of the 70's were smoking something because that color was way ahead of its time.

Thanks guys, when you get these sort of comments, you tend to really appreciate your car even more.

^^^ and then coming back down in '79, they got depressed and built the UC.

(Runs and hides from any UC'ers out there)

They must have had both uppers and downers because I think the UC has some good and bad points. I don't mind the front of a UC, I think they look quite good.........its just those bloody big tail lights!!!!

I might be the odd one out here; but I don't have any problems with the UC. I just prefer my LX.

Yeah, i dont mind the UC's at all, except for the obvious point of their taillights. and, AFAIK, they werent available in Barbados.

Before i bought my torrie, i passed up a barbados green L31 for 10K, it had been stolen and recovered, was missing alot of bits and had been sitting in a shed in mudgie.

I have been kicking myself ever since!

When the day comes, i wouldnt mind painting my car Barbados, although Ultra Blue is just as nice.

Great color and those back wheels look awesome.
How hard was it to get all 5 cars together? or was it a club event and they all turned up.
