6 Cyl Trimatic to v8 Trimatic

Hi

 

Just wondering if I convert a 6 Cyl column shift trimatic to a 253 V8 with Trimatic,

will the 6 cyl Column Shift and linkages work with the V8 trimatic box??

car is an LH Torana.

Yes, as long as the trimatic you get is a RH shift one. They are the same basic box, just a different bellhousing and pump on the front. You'll need a V8 banjo and V8 tailshaft too, although the 6cyl stuff will work you are better off with the bigger unis. Rest is the same.
