there are mini spools available for the large 10 bolt as you know, but you need a limited slip case for them, which are getting quiet rare. there are no detroit lockers for them. you can get full spools for them through romac, but are quiet pricey.does anyone here know if a detroit locker is available for the large salisbury 28 spline, i know there are mini spools available ??

a friend as been playing around cut axels and welding them up
to any length you want, manly for speedway/drag car diffs , as its not legal for you to cut and weld axels for steet use .before the 10 bolt went in his race lj we tested a banjo diff as we couldnt find lj lc axels "run out " we had to cut hq ones down
this is how he dose it
first the axels are machined down so there true, then he parts it about harlf way down , then after cuting it to length the end is machined down a hole borred in the other end and dowled back together very tight fit with beveled edges its then tig welded up and machined back , then a coller is fitted over the weld , about 5mm thick 8cm long this must still let the wheel bearing fit over it .
It snaped the ends of the axels at the splind ? so the cuting / welding WAS STRONGER.,, now his cut down a 10 bolt no worries 28 spline never has had a prob . pulled the axels out after 6 month of racing and removed the coller no cracks were found! the collers arnt welded on, just heat fitted on there for safty
hole diff coversion for under $500 with u suplying the diff or $125 ech axel
cheers
