Hi, long time reader first time poster
i was hoping that someone maybe able to help me with some rims im wanting to get. ive made some inquiries about some 17 inch rims for my lc torrie and need some legal advice. i live in SA and im interested in what is a legal size for rims on a car that had 13inch standard? also if 17 inch arent legal is it possible to get an engineers report for them? how much would an engineer cost to sign off on rims? the last thing i want is to buy the rims and tyre and get defected straight away.

thanks
dp

ive got some other questions other than legality aswell. ive seen that there is a few torries running large rims up to 19's which looks tough. im interested to know what widths are possible for a lc. the car is lowered 2 inch and has had the gaurds rolled out. the plan is to put 17inch sprintmasters on it, do you reckon it would good?

as far as legalitys go you may wana cantact your local transport authorities
as laws change constantly and are different from state to state

oh and who makes 17"sprintmasters ?

yeah long beach customs make them. they were in street machine magazine couple of issues ago in the new products area of the mag at the back. ill get onto the local people about legality. i just thought an SA person might have been there i learnt from the experience. what do you reckon bout 17inch sprintmasters, look good?? also they make 18's aswell.

17in or 18in sprintmaster copies will be the only other wheel that I will put on my lc,I hope to buy a set next year but I want to see & speak the people that make them at their Summernats stand in January.

i want to have something to stand out a bit. i was gonna get centrelines or simmons which both look awesome but when i saw those rims i had to have them, a few people would have to look twice.
