These are the two different types of diffs available in those diff's. The ring gear's are NOT compatable between them but the centres are both Dana 30.

Tonight when i get bored ill post more info so at a glance you can tell what ring gear you could expect.

Thanks now i gotta find out what the cost are because to change the sailsbury center will cost me close to $300 so would spending a bit more on another diff be worth it?

That is the centre i ended up with. I bought it from someone on toymods for $450, im sure if you hunt around you can find a better price. That was my first google result.

If they want more than $200 and them removing it just go look else where, if your savvy you can probably pick up the entire car for the same price.

As for what diff to do, its really up to you and it depends on if your talking the hq salisbury or the uc one (or possibly early crummy door?). If its not the uc one then you will be up for a stud change anyway.

What sort fo horsepower can you expect from one of these conversions?

If anyone has some good solid info on their conversion with one that would be swell

as in which sort of diff should i use? What ratios are available?

From a quick google, a guy with 480rwhp twisted the axles on the first launch with a stock diff. For me, lets say 350 guestimated rwhp and driven hard with the lsd and no problems yet.

I got the whole 240 series for freeee....

Pulled the engine, box and diff out, the rims ended up on my LJ for quiet some time (aaahh the days) and i sold the rest off....

So yeah the diffs are cheap lol.

Looked similar to the sedan posted up above.

Cheers.
