G'day all

I've put the 15" Volvo 5 spoke wheels on my car but the hub sizes are different sizes (Volvo being bigger) and therefore I cannot locate the wheels properly and I can't go over 85km/h without the wheels vibrating.
I know other people have these wheels on early Holden stub axles how do you locate the wheels and not have the problem I've got.

Thanks

peter, I have same problem. I think the best solution is some spacer rings machined up to fit inside the wheels and loctited in. The i.d. of the ring should just slip over the hub.Where, when, how much, I'm not at that point yet! hope this helps, regards mervex

I have heard you can buy these spacers that slip over the hub from tyre specialists.

Yes, they call them "hub rings" and centre the wheel to the hub. What a difference they make to vibration! Plastic ones are less than $20.

The other difference is the wheel studs....
Volvo run 1/2" wheel studs and holden are 7/16"
so you will find that the wheelstuds will need to be upgraded too...
No biggy though..
Get onto nice products website.(google it) they have a full listing of wheel studs in all sizes.

Cheers Greg..
