Sat night..I am 4rd in class.(51.6).Over 5 litre.(14 competitors).a CV8 Monaro with traction control has got me by 2/10th and a GT Falcon by 3/10ths.The A9X leads by 1 sec!! .mostly at the hairpin but I have a plan!!! :spoton: FTD is a 800HP GTR Godzilla with a 43s, I am 4th in AWD (14 in class)in the stock WRX..3rd is .02 in front of me and he spent $20k on the car! My REX time is 50.8. Will do the pics tomorrow , it is pretty busy, as running 2 cars you get out of one, fart and it is time to go again in the other!

Mate if I can get ABS and traction control, power steering and active suspension in the Torrie I reckon I am a go! Shit it is fast though! I now know after driving it more why they banned them! I will drop the pressures 2 pounds each corner tomorrow on both cars chasing more heat and traction.

Good Luck Rory! Those times sound real close - driver experience and skill ey?
I hope you got a camera strapped to the rollcage somewhere in your yellow beast =D
All the best and drive safe.

I finished 4th in over 5000cc Class behind the A9X @ 49.13
then a 2002 Monaro CV8 and a XA GT Falcon.
I did my best run on the last one ..50.293.
So I wasnt disgraced I don't think.
Got down to 49.5 on the stock WRX on my first run of the day so I parked it and concentrated on the Torrie.I was 6th in class (AWD)..4 GTR R32s and the $20k worked on WRX pipped me by .006!!
The missus in her first race meeting took the Torrie to 57.66 on he first run today from a previous best of 1.01sec so then parked it and concentrated on the WRX.Went from a 1.01 to her best and last run of the day with a 53.64 and got pipped for best lady time of the weekend by 53.49 (Thats 0.15sec!)by someone racing for 10 years in a Twin Turbo 300ZX with 350 KW, race tyres and monster brakes!!! She was stoked and I am very proud of her :spoton:  Bring on next year!!

If thats 230kw at the wheels...then thats a SH*T LOAD for a rexie, considering they have something like 45% drive train loss. Hey rory if you need any help getting the wrx to handle and go, I could always ask my friend. Hes an expert with this sorta thing, having a white STi my99 edition like yours, (except goes a lot faster).

Bring on the videos/photoes!

Have 2 discs arriving with pics soon, will post more when they get here. Forgot to add, the Suby DOES have dual control in the passenger side! That opened a few eyes in scrutineering!

D,
The only closest accom we could get was Drifters Motel at Kingscliffe. 20 mins to Murwillumbah. Will be there Friday night, they close the main street and put tables out for dinner, very posh! Lol! Sorted my front end shocks out, see the pics..doing a bit of "Big Pete" like the Mustang with the front right cocked out.
