hi guys this my first post just wanting to know what the number on the tag on my carbs mean numbers are 3023 / 3547 any information  would be great thanks mark

3547 is the carb reference number (cr). Basically it means a Zenith Stromberg175 cd-2s carb with threaded fuel line connection and all the required components to suit a 1972 -1973 202 GTR XU1 engine.

 

The air cleaner mounting flange will be stamped with either T226 or T226 TCX. There may or may not be a letter A or B stamped after the 226.

 

3023 = it may be the assembly date code which would translate to:-

3 = 1973

02 = week 2 of the year

3 = 3rd day of the week.

 

or it may simply be a batch number.

 

Even ex Zenith workers can't confirm if it is an assembly date code or a batch number.
