Gidday, I would like to replace  the fuel pump on the Torry and they are harder to find than I thought. I had a look on the Rare Spares site they had a chrome one which I don't want, they showed another one but the picture wasn't that great. I want the pump to look as per factory.

Thanks in advance, John.

Goss still makes brand new ones for either the glass bowl type or the later pressed metal type.

So your not looking very hard :D.

Repco and the like should be able to get them.

That or i have hundreds of the bastards....

Attention Attention. The glass bowl type fuel pumps to suit Holden 6 cyl red motor are no longer available. I received an email from Goss that they have been discontinued, they don't even make a repair kit.

Same deal with Fuel Miser, no one even has any NOS,Repco, Autobarn, Parts for cars, no one had anything. Maybe you guys know something I don't.

Looks like I'll have to use the later type off the blue motor Crummydore.

End of rant.

Cheers, John.

i will tag onto this thread if big jack doesn't mind... more questions about fuel pumps and holden sixes

i have a goss 7736 mechanical pump image below courtesy of their site

and am trying to find info about its specs or indeed standard flow and fuel pressure?   The site isn't all that specific ( another is called higher flow uprated model?? but no specs)

I want to know if it is suitable to feed a holley 465  on a well worked 202    and if is a regulator required/recommended ...... any assistance appreciated Cheers Darryl

Your best bet is either using the commodore type pump or rebuild a glass bowl fuel pump. I did this recently and started a thread on here with my questions and answers. Just search "glass bowl fuel pump rebuild ".

Appears to be a stock replacement commy pump.

Pretty sure these were 6-7psi, which is what you want for your Holley.

Cheers.

They are all worth money rebuilt looking like new.

Rebuild kits are tough to find for a good price.

I think Grants got them all. :)

It would be to someone with a grey motor and vacuum wipers in their old Holden.

I've always wondered if there is something you can do with those old grey vacuum/fuel pumps. When you look at the prices those Moroso vacuum pumps, might even help with low brake vacuum.

Regards
