Decided it was about time I installed my aussie desert cooler triple flow rad. No mounting holes are drilled in the radiator, so out comes the drill, and in with a small drill bit to drill out the piolt holes. All going well, get to the last hole and the drill bit snaps, and the drill chuck decides it wants to go into the core. So now I have a brand new triple flow radiator with a hole in one tube and a few mangled fins. :furious:

Oh man, Luck must hate you!
First you get robbed,
Then your 4WD gets smashed
Now this! That really sucks, can't you get it re-cored though?

Murphy's law again: if something can screw up your project, it will at the most expensive point.

Ouch man :( I feel your pain!

Nothing worse than damaging beautiful new toys like that....

My PWR alloy radiator was in my car all of 3 days when the fan melted and the blades hit the core flattening a HEAP of fins and ALMOST rupturing 2 cores... Not happy jan!

Dont worry mate, its done now, all that can be done is to get it repaired and soldier on!

Cheers

Sorry to hear about your bad luck but I reckon you have summed it up in your subject, "shit happens". Most of us have have been in the same position and usually things work out later. I can't tell you how many 1/8 inch drill bits I have broken but usually whilst working on the house. Hope things turn around, stay positive.

Speaking of which, my dad was drilling up something for my brother when the drill slipped and cut his wrist, looked real deep and painful, blood was all over my bro's new hand made seat cover!

SHANEGTR, if I had a dollar for everytime 'shit happened', I'd own an L34, 2 A9X's, probably an XU-1 or two and a shed to house them all in.
It's a prick of a thing that it happened :furious: , and I know your frustration, believe me... but you've learnt a valuable lesson here.
Don't get up a ladder with a neon in your hand!!!

Ha ha ha, mmmmmm Bundy! :spoton:

I know what you mean Tiny, like, my mountain bike wasn't working, so I had to use this gay little kiddie scooter, (They are quite fun I admit) anyway, im going down a hill and I see my brothers mate so I break really hard while saying hello, my mate Tim behind me didn't realise that I braked, cause he was looking at my brothers mate, at 39km/h Liam copped a front tire in the arse, and Liam and his mate went flying. now that hurt, it was pretty funny though

Shit doesn't happen, it's caused by a@#holes :D

That does suck big time dude

These things are put in our path to test us. The best bit is when you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep going. Once you get to the end you have the satisfying moment when you can say to all the things that got in your way :finger:
