Hello and here goes. I really can't decide on what colour combo to choose in the engine bay and i need your help. Engine bay will be black and almost everything alloy will be polished. My two choices for the motor are all silver with black sump, all black with silver head, or all silver with black sump and black accessories (oil pump, mounts, balancer). The k-frame will be gloss black...

So these are the things that are not changing. Ceramic chrome exhaust manifold. Mirror polished three piece intake manifold. Chrome rocker cover/sideplates. Chrome thermo housing, bonnet hinges, m/c cap, polished gilmer pulleys, all stainless polished bolts, polished oil sender, hydroblasted SU's, polished ram tubes, chrome oil pump cover and polished dizzy/coil.

Extensive list, i know. Just can't decide on black or silver.

Cheers

So are you asking which Red is the correct one?  :P

I wouldn't go silver with that much chrome, you need a contrast or it will look cr@p.

Not that i dont like red. But i dont think it goes with a purple body too well. Im pretty much decided on black or silver. Would anyone happen to have pictures of a silver engine and chrome accessories?

I am sure grannies everywhere would approve. :spoton:

PS. I have seen an engine painted silver with polishedbillet accesories...(not quite chrome, but..) personally didn't care for it, sort of lost definition.

Did see an engine done in like a gun metal color before, that did look kind of cool at least..

Gun metal is not a bad idea at all. The silver i have is 'aliminium'. Pretty much everything alloy will be polished.

:iagree:

I just threw up a bit in my mouth just thinking about it.

Red/orange or Yellow would be the go I reckon.

Black will make your engine bay look too dark, silver will make it too shiny.

At least one reason not to go black. Thank you!
