Just wondering if someone can tell me if the standard gearbox dust cover will fit with a Hi Energy sump. I recently bought a reproduction one from a well known conversion mob, but is not even close to fitting. Engine is a 304 with ford T5 6cyl box.

i have a ASR sump(very similar to Hi Energy) on my 308 and aussie 4 speed and the dust cover fits fine
altho to take the cover off i would have unbolt the extractor(s) from the head to get to the top bolts...that might be your problem?

The problem I'm having is it needs to slide another 10-20 mm to be able to bolt up, but hits on the back of the sump. I might hunt down an original one and see if it's any different
