What is your opinion on when Chassis Strenght Kit should be installed.
My LX runs 12.8 with a steel roll cage, I thought I might take it out and save 80 plus KG'S
I am worried revoving the cage might allow for the chassis to twist and cause me more harm then do good.
Is a chassis kit worth doing ?

I would prefer to have a cage over a chassis kit, there probably wouldn't be a heap of difference in weight and the cage serves a few purposes such as stiffening the car and protecting you in the event of a crash. I don't know which would stiffen the car more a cage or a chassis kit but I don't think there would be a heap in it either??

At 12.8 you should be fine, many run in the 11's with no chassis mods.
Personally I wouldn't run a cage without the chassis work and vice versa, they really compliment each other in LC/J and LH/X/UC.

It must be a complex cage to weigh 80+ kg,can you post some pics of it?

It is a Bond 6 Point Cage, do not know the weight for sure , but it is dam heavy.
