Hi have rta in victoria stopped doing history checks on cars.
I need to get the previous engine number of my Lc Xu1 to pass onto hg350 to confirm some details.
I went to the rta but they said their policy has changed and they no longer give out those details.
Does anyone know how to get this information.

When I gave my numbers to hg350 I found out that my gtr never had the engine numbers recorded which I remember someone saying that they were only ever done when the car came back for a service & if someone bothered to take note of the numbers.The only way I thought it could be done was by rego papers or by the log books.

Before you could get rta to trace back the rego numbers and give you all
prevous engine numbers car was registered with but they no longer do.
I filled out some paper work today and they sent it off so hopefully they give me the full engine numbers.
