Hey guys.

I have an old cam that I got given a couple years ago, was only run in and did 2 laps around a race trAck until the eng lost oil pressure and spun a bearing.
I have the spec sheet, it says it's a Waggott 409 cam, (going off some googling) 217 - 217 @ 0.50" I believe?
What rev range would this cam be
And is it suitable for all old holden sixes ?
After some googling there's only some people that have put the cam in a 186.
Also says on the spec sheet :
Cam lift: 283"
Machine rocker pedestals: .080"

Guessing the pedestals have to be machined for this cam also?

Just trying to chase some more info on it to see if
It's even worth looking into for a 202 I'm building for a circuit car.

Cheers -

Hi Michael,

I say it is a small cam with a low rev range, and here is a Vid:-

Have a look at the CT35 517 the 4th one down, it could be similar, it is a very mild cam if your going to do a bit of track work.

No worries thanks.

Would I have any problems putting this cam in a 202? I heard it was a 186 cam but I thought 186 - 202 are compatable

Cheers

The cam will go in , but if your using a 202 head you will have no tappet adjustment , 186 heads were used get around this problem in the old days .
