G'day,

Just wondering if anyone knew what thread the door lock knob stalks are? Screwing on the plastic repro ones is a pain and i thought i would just tap a thread. I have a nice diecast aftermarket knob (wish i had a second), which is tapped for it so it must be common/.

Cheers

The snipper rods would be more like 1/8" or 5/64" dia. but I haven't actually measured one.

Take your diecast one is into a place like bursons etc and have them match up the thread.
Or go to a hobby shop and check out their range of threaded rod etc for model planes etc and see what thread fits it. Then you will have your thread size.

This is something you may consider Jacob, the first owner of my car was a gadget man and put this on the car . quick , easy and just unscrew when you want to use the quarter window .

Used to be able to buy a stainless or chrome plated clip for the flipper window.

I never bothered with it on my LC.

But back then I was silly pretty often. Left keys in ignition many times.

Coat hanger through the rubber from outside , twist and the window is open , then the door in a couple of seconds .

Sadly in this day and age you cant, if some bastard doesnt try to steel it then the cops will tow it away for being shiny.

Cheers.
